Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

did some crayon tie-dye in the dryer!

A whole load with some reds and greens - at least that's what I could see last night as I pulled out the load.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove wax from the whole load? Or should the clothes be rags now.

Thanks for your help.

I just saw someone (on an email list) say to rewash with a cup of baking soda in the wash and it should take most of it off.. the person it was posted to tried it and said it worked.

and goo gone easily takes it off the inside of the dryer.. you don't want to forget to clean the inside of the dryer too.

I haven't done it, but if the above doesn't work, I would soak the clothes in Oxyclean and detergent...it might take a while, so be patient.

Whatever you do, don't redry the stuff until you're sure the stains won't come out.

I've just rewashed things before in as hot as it will tolerate and it came out.

Thanks, ladies...

I was so bummed last night when I saw it!

This gives me hope.

Off to try...

I did this recently! I second the hot water suggestion. This is what I did: Crank up your hot water heater and then fill the machine with hot water soap and Oxiclean. Let the clothes soak until the water cools (overnight in my case) and soak them again. Then complete the wash cycle. Crayon came out of almost everything. Good luck!

Well, here's the update....

Soaking the load in hot water and detergent (I had no oxyclean), I was able to get the wax out of the clothes and save the load. I did the load of hots before I went to bed, let it soak and in the morning, continued the cycle and Voila! Awesome!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
