Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I can't find any maternity clothes that I like. I am fine until fall and winter, as I have plenty of maternity summer clothes. Has anyone made maternity clothes? If so, can you recommend some patterns that have worked well?

Christine,

I know what you mean about not being able to find nice maternity clothes. Sewing is a great option and dresses and/or jumpers can be pretty easy and basic.

A few I have made are:

Simplicity 8589

McCall's 4472

Vouge 2818

Another I have heard people rave about is Catherine's Choice

And you are welcome to join the Catholic Mother's Sewing Room. There are several of us pregnant ladies over there making maternity clothes.

Thank you, Michele! I joined the Catholic Mother's Sewing Room a couple of months ago, but never took the time to introduce myself or post (my husband doesn't really like me using Yahoo message boards). I guess I better do so.

Michele,

Does "MISSES'/MISSES' PETITE MATERNITY TOP, DRESS, SKIRT AND PANTS" mean that the Vogue pattern is for Petites or simply that Petites is an option?

It means it's an option. It has adjustments for petite size.
