Recently ,I have noticed that several of my posts do not show up on my list from Bloglines. Does anyone else have this problem? Other times, I amend a post for errors and it shows up several times.

Three posts in the last several days have not shown up at all, ever, no matter how many times I save changes or republish.

Rebecca, I have found Bloglines to be acting strangely too. I'm not sure what it's all about. One thing I did was switch to a different feed - the Atom feed rather than the RSS feed. I saw there were a lot more subscribers to the atom feed so I thought maybe they all know something I don't! Anyway, it seems to be working better since I did that. Could be pure coincidence, but just thought I'd mention it.

Anyhow, I visit your blog daily whether Bloglines tells me there's something new or not!

I have noticed the same problem. I visited some blogs the other day that bloglines had not shown up as new, and there was tons of stuff I had missed. Not sure what the issue is.
I never thought of putting my own blog on bloglines so I could check on my feed. Good idea, Rebecca.

Thanks all! I will try switching the feed to atom. Does anyone have a layman's explanation for the different feeds? I have noticed that some feeds don't show pictures and others do. I just can't figure the whole feed thing out   .

I did this too when bloglines started acting up for me. In any case, I would just visit several of my "regular" blogs.

OK, now I am really convinced that there is something wrong with Bloglines!

I posted a post on July 23rd on Heart of the Kitchen and it just came up on my bloglines a few minutes ago. I have not republished or posted anything since that day.

Creepy.
Maybe the blogline fairies don't like my blogs!

Bloglines does get wonky now and then. Not long ago it was having an issue w/ Feedburner and kept republishing everyone's feedburner feeds over and over.

And anytime you fix a typo and save the changes, your feed gets repubbed.

We like to see your posts as often as they come through, Rebecca!

Could it be that someone (ME) posted a comment and it republished because of that??? I can't remember the date of the post I just commented on, but it was a little older, I missed it, I think it was the Pooh cookbook one

Speaking of Bloglines, does anyone know what all the little symbols to the left and right of our blog names mean? Like the red exclamation point, the blue talk bubble, the orange B or the house? I thought maybe it meant which blog service we use but that doesn't seem to match up in every case. I'm just curious ~ I can't seem to find a "key" to Bloglines anywhere on their site.

Also, how do you use Bloglines? There seems to be a lot more to it than just using it to see who has new posts.

Well, I think the red exclamation point means there is a problem with the blog - or the feed. For example, when I took my blog down, bloglines put a little red exclamation point next to it. For a while, one of these little red marks was next to Semicolon's site, and I couldn't get to the blog maually, either.

But that, sadly, is the end of my expertise!
