Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

From a local Catholic homeschooler about her childhood friend's Catholic homeschooling family:

Please tune in and vote for them -SEE
BELOW- you will be supporting a pioneer homeschooling family (Mary
began in the early '90's and has homeschooled her children from the
beginning - her eldest two attend Thomas Aquinas). She is a superb
example of homeschooling at its best, and her children are a testimony
to the Body of Christ.
Thanks so much!!!...

The Wood family's band,Celtic Spring , will perform on NBC's America's
Got Talent, on the evening of August 2nd. (Check your local paper for
time.) The show is a talent show, and at the end of the show the
viewers are invited to call NBC and vote for their favorite act. The
viewers' favorite act will go to the finals on August 16th, and compete
with nine other acts. The viewers will vote again, and the top act will
be awarded $1,000,000. The Wood family sees their performing as an
apostolate: bringing joy and beauty to the culture by means of a large
Catholic family performing the traditional music and dance of Ireland.
Please support the Wood family by voting for them at the end of the
show. One may vote by phone, on-line at NBC.com, or text message.
Each method of voting can be used up to ten times. The Wood family
would be grateful for the support!!! (Unfortunately, all the
Hollywood entertainment is not as wholesome as Celtic Spring, so we
highly recommend that after the Wood family makes their appearance, you
turn off your TV and then call in your votes at the end of the two hour
program.)

On to the FINALS...

Hi everyone,
The finals for Celtic Spring air this Wednesday at 7pm on NBC's
America's Got Talent. Mary assured me the talent that made it to the
finals is much more wholesome, however you still may want to proceed with
caution. Those judges' comments can be rough. A little background:
the show is produced by the infamous and ridiculing "Simon" from
American Idol. Thus the sarcasm. Obviously, the curve to this show is
that they want unusual acts to prove that America has talent of
different sorts, and not necessarily does the talent need to be
marketable for mass cd sales and MTV presence afterwards. That being
said, then Celtic Spring does have a chance to win. For we can all see
they have talent!

The Woods are asking for prayers to continue to help them through this
process and that the glory of God be well represented. I might add that
the mom, Mary Wood, has many local ties growing up here in Phoenix. She
is a St. Francis Xavier elementary school grad, and attended Thomas
Aquinas and Univ. of Dallas. Her parents (and the childrens'
grandparents) are Alan and Marlene McCauley, who promote Blessed Kateri
Tekakwitha for sainthood, helped to start Ville De Marie and support
Kolbe Academy, Miles Jesu, Catholics United for the Faith and many other
reputable conservative Catholic organizations. They worship most often
at St. Thomas the Apostle.

Please schedule if you can, to watch and vote this Wednesday (10 votes
per method). That means that you can vote ten times from each phone
line or email address (just go to the NBC website and click into
America's Got Talent - follow the prompts). If you have multiples of
these as we do (with our business), then you can generate a good number
of votes.
Let's show NBC and it's viewers that family, purity and goodness and
TRUE talent is more important to America than anything else offered on
the show.
You may enjoy the young yodeler and the other 11-year-old singer. They
are pretty awesome. But five kids fiddling and dancing simultaneously
showcases much more talent than one singer!!!!

Thank you in advance for your votes!!!!
