Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi!

My sons would like to have a penpal and I'm wondering if any of you know where to look for one? I have no idea how to go about this and want to make sure it's a safe thing.

Thanks so much!

Dear Lisa,

I have a 11 year old boy, Jack - he would be most happy to penpal with somebody, but we are from Australia and maybe you were preferring them to write to someone over there, with the hope for further contact down the track? If so, I understand completely - but if you would like this, just send me a pm.

I think it is safe enough if we know we have similar beliefs and values - since we are on the forum - that would be so. I would always 'vet' my children's letters before send off anyway. (I understand before Vatican II in the seminarians had their personal letters read.)

ARE YOU KIDDING?????

Lisa, you are ALREADY in that safe place.

Just over an hour ago...........my daughter's pen pal and her family left here.....after a 5 night visit....that would be WILLA and kids. Her daughter Clare is my dd's best friend.......well, one of them

....and her sons are very good friends with my 15yo ds, too

....and speaking of OTHER best friends, her other best friend, who was a pen pal for years, is sleeping in this morning with her dh and wee babe in our school room...........I will be taking them to the airport later today for their return flight to Virginia. She is a dd of one of the RL moms.

These pen pals were obtained through the CCM list......and, there are others, too....

these just happen to be the TWO we just spent time with

Have fun!

Chari,

That's exactly why I asked about penpals here .

So....would anyone else like to write to an almost 12 YO boy?

Thanks!

I have a 7 year old boy who would love a penpal! Boy or girl, doesn't matter.

I also have a 4 year old girl who loves sending "letters" (colored pictures/stickers) and loves getting the same in return.

Please PM me if you would like to be one of their penpals!
