Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Erin, Anne, and Leonie, I have really enjoyed reading your posts and am so sad that we are separated by an ocean!

I just wanted to post an idea I had about how those of us from the US and those of you from Australia could meet in real life...why don't we meet halfway in Tahiti?

The Internet makes the world a lot smaller, doesn't it? I'm glad that I can network with so many wonderful women from all over the world here.

Dawn

I am blessed by this forum (I mean the women on this forum!) everyday and am so glad have "knowing" you all on the other side of the Pacific.

Let's not forget our friends on the other side of the Atlantic: Kathryn, Jane, Katie, a couple of (names slip my mind ) in Belgium and anyone else I missed due to my faulty memory .

That is very kind and most reciprocal . Erin rang me by phone yesterday and I had met her in person for the first time last year at the funeral of a dear baby of a mutual friend but we do live interstate at present. (so that can be like ocean apart even though it isn't) It's funny, through this forum overseas, Erin and I discovered we both knew well, a lovely priest in Leonie's parish!

We discussed just how dynamic and uplifting it is to have all you women to draw strength, comfort and wisdom from! CHANGING my life in a short while! The internet has changed all of our lives really, we get to network on a scale like never before, quite wonderful.

If nothing else I now KNOW that having 6 bookcases in the most unusual of places in the home is not something you be put away for!

Well, when I win Lotto I am going to come over to see Mother Angelica's Temple, climb the top of Mt Helens (if they let me and not erupting or I don't fall off from exaustion) walk in the Annual March for Life in the Snow (we live in the sub-tropics) and met some of you lovely ladies in person along the way! (either that or if you ever get to be a guest on EWTN live, please wave and tell me to watch!! )

As you all know our country is honored to have the next World Youth Day, in 2008 and if any of your teenagers/older adult children come on down, we all would - I'm sure, love to be hospitable to your dear ones touring around!

I am so touched by your kind words. I find myself thinking of you all often, in the middle of the night I'll wake up and pray for someone's intention, or I'll be walking along and one of you will pop into my head, you know thoughts like,'I wonder how Kathryn is, we haven't heard from her in awhile?' I guess we are real sisters in Christ. I learn so much from all of you and find it fascinating when we also hear from our other 'sisters' from other countries around the world.

Yes, Anne and I finally made phone contact it was lovely, it was like we already knew each other. And some of you I have been in contact with by pm and others are in my prayers. Thank you to Elizabeth and Tim for making this all possible.

Definetly second this. We would love to have any of your children visit or yourselves. Alas we don't live in Sydney, but we'll be there and afterwards you could 'come on home'.

Oh, yes! I just haven't put together where eveyone is from yet! For some reason, Erin, Leonie, and Anne's posts always "click" with me, so they were at the top of my mind!

Even if we never meet in this life, I hope to meet all of you in Heaven someday.

Erin, I've been thinking of you, praying for that precious little baby and waiting for news .

I also love how the internet makes the world such a small place. I have been privileged to get to know a number of internet friends in person, from both sides of the Atlantic. I haven't met any Australian friends yet - though dh did manage to meet up with a long standing email buddy visiting the UK from Australia. Does that count?
