Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone else going? Or going to some other one and wanna chit chat about it and general curriculum shopping plans?

Can you believe I've been home schooling for 14 years and never been to a catholic convention? So I'm kinda excited.

And this year was a blah year. We got it done for the most part, but at the start of the year my health and general get up and go both left the premises. Now I'm doing much better and looking to re-energize for next fall.

Some things I'm excited to see:

Our Lady of Victory - I like their cursive books and I got ahold of a very old fifth grade religion text that I really liked and I'm interested to see the current editions. And they have some art books I'm curious about too.

Catholic schoolhouse - science and art only. I actually own the entire series of Classically Catholic Memory and have used them the last four years. But I don't want to do the same thing every year. I *think* I might sell them all and do a similiar set up using my own poetry, history and so forth... Idk yet. But maybe I schoolhouse will inspire me...

I've never been able to get much info on CSH or OLVS bc their websites are rather sparse, so I'm looking forward to seeing their booths and hope they bring lots of products with them.

Same goes for a few other providers that most people don't hear much about compared to Seton and Kolbe and CHC.

I need a few items from Seton...

I know it is a catholic convention, but I'm hoping rainbow resource and Christian book distributors will be there too bc they'd sure make a couple of my purchases easier.

I doubt I'll sit in on any of the lectures. Btdt and I only have a few hours to spend there.

So what's everyone else planning or looking for?

Sacred Heart Books will be there. That is usually my one stop shop. It doesn't look like Rainbow Resources will be there. Have fun at your first conference!
