Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of a good order or way to fund a Priest's Vocation.   I would like to do this but I don't know any specific place off the top of my head.

Thank you for any information that you might have...until then I will keep searching the web.

HI Betsy,
You might try contacting your Diocese; our diocese has a specific fund designed for seminarian education.

Best,
Kelly

The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest(Donate Button down a bit from the top on the right) or The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter are both Traditional, wonderful orders of priest. Both would very much welcome a donation. The Institute has an Adopt a Seminarian program at our parish where you can adopt a specific seminarian and pray for them, and I think even write to them, and donate to their education. If this would interest you, maybe you can find out about this by contacting the Institute via email.

Both orders have awesome, awesome apostolates, doing excellent work in forming the faithful under them including extremely well run fun and faith-forming youth camps, faith formation all the way up through adults. We have been impressed greatly by the deep faith of these priests and touched deeply through all we've learned about the Faith from priests of both orders. HTH! What an awesome idea.

The Laboure Society is another one like this - it helps seminarians and women entering religious orders to eliminate previous education debt - which is a big obstacle to them being able to enter into seminary or religious orders. We know a young man who has spend this semester fund raising through Laboure Society so that he can apply to enter a community in the spring and hopefully begin seminary studies.

An elderly friend sponsored an African seminarian for several years. He is now ordained (invited her to the ordination and sent pictures) and he calls her a few times a year and writes to her. If you are interested in something like that, send me a pm and I'll ask her for the information.
