Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a Belarussian (is that right?)woman and daughter coming to clean tomorrow .

I wondered if anyone knew any Russian words.

Several friends use her, they say its hard to communicate.

Just wondering. . .

My great grandma (Baba) came from Belarus; sadly, I don't know any Russian. But you could try this website:

Kind of you to want to communicate. And smart of you to have a cleaning service! That reminds me, Baba cleaned houses too.

I met them today! Mother and daughter came to see my house (hope it didn't scare them) .

We'll start next week with them and I'm excited.

They know very little English. Okay, like. . .none.

This will be so great for us. My kids are already fascinated with the Russian alphabet.

Thanks for the website. I'll check it out. I just want to be able to explain some simple things to them. Several of my friends (hs-ing moms) have used them for a while and said it works out.

Dh has been asking me to get help for a LONG time!

PS-
that's neat about your Great-Grandma. Honestly I know nothing about this culture.

I feel a "Rabbit Trail" coming on. . .
