Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ugh! I have this boy in college. Love him to pieces but hate that he wants video games for Christmas! I understand he works hard and wants some down time activities. We've always tried to avoid this sort of thing. My rule has been, no electronic stuff unless you buy it yourself.
But, we have no ideas for what to get him for Christmas and this is all he has asked for. Are there any out there worth buying? It would be for his computer. He likes the action games. Battles. Stuff I know nothing about .
We allow our kids to play video games but I wont allow anything like grand theft auto or similar. My younger boys like to play Minecraft and I'm okay with that. I'm just struggling to find something for the older one.

I know nothing about it too. But with those criteria I would look for something maybe based on The Lord of the Rings.. or go in and ask a clerk.. tell the clerk what your son asked for and tell them what you don't want and see what they show you.

What about a gift certificate to a place where he can buy the games himself? I won't buy video games either and it's something my boys have to save up money to purchase or ask family for as a gift. Usually employees at video game stores are very helpful and can answer all questions.
