Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A few years ago ds was given a walkie talkie set, and it never worked well. Mostly it sent static back and forth.

He's been wanting a new set for years, and for a variety of reasons, now seems like a good time.

Can anyone recommend a brand or set that really does work? We would use these around the house, camping, and possibly in stores (don't laugh...)

We are definitely a walkie-talkie family. DS takes one with him when he goes to a neighbor's home; we live in the country and sometimes cell service can be spotty. We use them outside, camping, vacations, and yes, stores, so I won't laugh!!

We have gotten decent Motorola walkie talkies at Sams Club. We've had two or three sets over the years.

Oh- thank you for the input! I was looking at this pair on Amazon.

I had not thought to looks at Sams... will look there as well.

I just don't want to go through the all excited-oh-joy-walkie-talkie hoopla again only to find out we have another lemon pair.

The pair you linked to Amazon . . . that's what we have!! They work really well. I know what you mean about buying lemons . . . we've had that, too!

I've been looking for good walkie-talkies for years! Our kids have several friends in the neighborhood plus a place in the woods that they like to play. I've wanted to get them some for a long time.

If I get the triple set, can I use one as the base at home and give the other two to my two boys??

Yes, you can do that.
