Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Not sure which category, so I'll start here.

One of the things my sons are really interested in is stop motion photography. Right now we are using an older camera to film, stop, move, film, stop, move. It's tedious, but they are really getting the hang of it. They do it with legos, Playmobil, Little People.

But they want to go further. I was looking at the JM Cremps catalog with items like this perhaps for Christmas.

But we really would love any input or advice, books, or hints....they are really into this. This is an area that touched on this thread on feast days with big kids -- this is a way they can act out a saint's life, etc.

My 17 year old loves stop motion and is heading into film studies after college. He gets a lot of the free stop motion software online (as he has to work and it is cheap!) but has been saving for a long time for a nice camera. Just bought a canon t3i used. Basically as this hobby has evolved over the past years the camera was key--he would just save or ask for a nicer one every 1-2 years. It is also fun to get them a
'green screen' (big green sheet) as well. The package looks great too though and may be worth the $79 if the camera is decent.

Do you have an iPad? If so, there is an ap for stop motion called iMotion, I believe. Maybe for iPhone, too? I have it but have not tried it out yet.
