I wanted to draw your attention to a wonderful book that my dear friend has written.
A DISTANT PROSPECT..
A little background-
As a Uni student in her early 20s she wrote this book. When she presented it her teacher. He said, "its good but there is so much more to Add". She through it in the corner and left it. Her DH encouraged her to resurrect it a few years back, she re-research, added, rewrote, embellished and late last year it was published.
Its an Australian book set in 1920s Sydney.
Its Catholic, Its Irish, Its about a string quartet.
We have all read it and absolutely loved it.
My DD 15 just wouldn't put it down and was moved to tears.

Its available Through Amazon and book depository.
I would suggest it as a teen book for exploring Australian culture in this time period.
