Welcome back, dear friends!
I hope everyone had a blessed Holy Week and beautiful Easter!
I had a good week of some heavy duty Spring cleaning and we ended up having a very joyful and restful Easter day.
Of course, I left my Spring cleaning with a hefty to-do list Lots of little projects to tackle and finish and a few rooms that I simply couldn't address in the one week. Still, it is a very refreshing atmosphere for celebrating Easter and approaching Spring and full-on gardening season. We're getting a load of dirt today for the new beds, and I really MUST get my peas and lettuces planted! For all that it was rainy and gray yesterday, it is a beautiful Easter Monday, and I'm glad to have leftovers to extend the celebration into today!
How are you all faring this week?

Happy Easter, Lindsay and everyone!
Had a quiet day yesterday for the most part. Didn't get all (or even most) of my spring cleaning done so more for this week, along with some standardized testing!
I think we're all a little sugared-out, so I hope the effects are short lived.
Good luck with your to-do list!

I got way less done than I'd hoped to get done. BUT that's because we helped other people out. We did get a couple of piles of debris from the wood pile and splitting wood burned so that's done..
Yard sale with my sister this weekend and tons to get done asap.
Need to clean out the garage and move my pantry temporarily.. clean the house and wash walls and paint over marks etc. fun fun fun

I did wash most of the walls last week, Jodie, and it is astonishing what a difference a microfiber cloth and a magic eraser can make! I thought we needed to paint so badly (and after less than two years!), and now I'm thinking we "could use a little paint."

Happy Easter! Having sung every Mass in our parish from Spy Wednesday to Easter Morning, I'm celebrating a week of no choir practice!
We got a lot of cleaning done as well -- downstairs, anyway. Upstairs, which was the children's domain . . . not so much, but it's better than it was.
I have lots of planting to do, too. We've actually done something I thought I'd never do: hired someone to help me in the yard, because my husband has neither the time nor the inclination for that kind of work, and it's too heavy for me to do all myself any more. So thanks to him, I have some new beds marked out with bricks from our old porch foundation (we had our front porch torn down to and rebuilt from the ground last summer), and have moved my kitchen garden to the back yard. Currently all I have in are lettuce and transplanted strawberries and some new blueberry bushes, but I'm hoping to cultivate a nice little strip of garden behind my butterfly bed, with some additional things in containers in the big bed along the driveway, which is now mostly given over to roses and other flowering things. The kids also got lots of flower seeds in their Easter baskets, so we'll plant those soon as well. It's sunny and beautiful today, but we have a friend of my husband's coming for a late lunch, so I probably won't get out in the dirt until tomorrow -- can't wait!
Talked to my daughter in Rome this morning -- she was at the Papal Mass at St. Peter's yesterday for Easter, so that was exciting.
I hope everyone's Octave is wonderful (heck, the whole 50 days)!

Happy Easter to all the lovely moms here!
We also tackled indoor spring cleaning and decluttering. Here in MN, all the planting will have to wait until late May. I have a shipment coming the day before Mother's Day, so I am crossing my fingers for the last frost to have passed by then. We have a long way to go - weather-wise!

Cleaning here too!
We are facing a major problem with our roof! We've got water coming in through the floors and walls along one of the major walls in our house every time it rains. Right now = thunderstorm! I'm on here to avoid the 4 loads of towels I need to dry!
Our Easter was WONDERFUL! So calm and relaxing and a nice brunch with family. We are on "Easter Break" this week and enjoying getting up late and loafing around in the afternoons after chores and such are done.
Please pray for this roof situation. I'm off to change the washer and dryer to make sure we have some dry towels to absorb our leak!
