We're busy here with varsity baseball tryouts. Looking good :)

My daughter's wedding plans are moving along nicely. Her fiance has been accepted to several doctoral programs, hooray! Soon they will be deciding where they will spend their next 5-7 years    .

I'm involved in 3 bridal showers between now and May. My daughter and 2 of her best friends are marrying within 2 months of each other. If I don't show up here some Wednesday, you'll know what I'm doing .

My family time management project is coming along well! Hopefully I'll be able to talk about it here in a month or so, after we work out the details.

I ate a lot of great food during the Super Bowl    Here's my fave hot wings recipe

And I'm really enjoying having Spotify on my laptop. Right now I'm listening to Mozart while my boys banter in the kitchen while cleaning. The music is a real anxiety reducer and helps my brain to not shift to their...ridiculous, not always appropriate, are they really teenagers? conversation .

Does anyone use Spotify to connect socially?

My family LOVES Spotify and have been using it for over a year (maybe 2?). We use it to connect to each other, often sending each other music. It has been really really fun!

I enjoy Spotify when I remember that I have it.
We used it a lot during "quiet time" during advent to play instrumental Christmas music. We all enjoyed it very much. I need to get back into this relaxing habit.

Since last Wednesday..Amy fainted during church at Christendom..hit the back of her head..spent 8 hours in the hospital (7 hours from home) and was then sent back to the college with a concussion. Praise be to God, today was the first day in a week Amy told me she feels good.

Everyone here at home has come down with a nasty cold. It is lasting almost a week for everyone.

On the school front the dd-6 and ds-7 have discovered the joy of lapbooks. We have made one about Australia, Groundhogs, and now have started working on one to make along with The Story About Ping. We will also add in a China study with this one. Poor little Luke just hates when we finsh one...he wants them to go on and on and on.

I haven't begun to plan for Lent...hopefully I will get started before Ash Wednesday---one week from today.
