Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

One of you lovely ladies recommended a film a few months ago that I put in my Blockbuster online queue to watch sometime...my dd deleted it!

Since I have no memory , maybe one of you all can give me the title...all I remember is that it was a foreign film about a young Asian girl and the cover of the DVD box had a beautiful Asian woman on it...how's that for a pathetic memory?

Help?

After the recommendations from this board I ordered the Road Home from NetFlix amid much moaning and groaning from dh, something about watching wa-a-a-y too many Asian films while stationed over there...but The Road Home was fabulous! So beautiful, like a misty painting. Culturally accurate (as in cooking methods, how the houses look, clothing, etc...) So if you're studying Asia and want a Asian perspective, this is the perfect movie. All 3 of us watched it twice, it was so enjoyable.

Yes, that's it, Natalia! Thanks! And thanks, Jennifer, for another hearty recommendation!
