There is NO WAY it is already Wednesday!

Deep breath.

I will never be a wedding planner.

Just saying .

But I will plan my daughter's wedding purely via the love I have for her, Michael, & the sacrament of marriage. And the grace of God!

Almost have a venue! Keep those prayers coming please :)

Here's a blog post, Enemies estimated.

That's truly it. Room for little else! Nice and full just the way I like it .

How are you all doing? Prayers for your very best, always    .

Love,

Oh it's all so depressing here.. a 36 yr old father of 5 was killed in a car crash.. 2 of his boys are in our Scout troop/pack. Always hard to know it's only by the Grace of God that you aren't dealing with that situation.

A situation in the schools that again spills over into scouts.. and it somewhat tied to Angie's post about enemies.. unfortunately it's not all that clear in schools these days.. oh you can identify your enemies but it's bullying and it goes on and on, yes in spite of all the talk about "no bullying" policies.. you see, bullies don't leave proof, and no one wants to believe their child is a bully so pretty much nothing is done if someone reports a bully.. but then when the victims are pushed to saying something (not even necessarily doing something).. well all the powers that be collapse on top of them because of the "risk". Yep, so the victim of the bullies is not only being bullied but when they say something in hurt and anger without thinking, they become a HUGE risk and the police come and guard the school and they're arrested and all sorts of difficulties ensue. And what happens to the bullies? not a thing.. oh wait.. they're protected by the school and law enforcement from their victims so they snicker behind the teacher's backs and pick another.. (yep feeling just a bit bitter)

Things at home are going well though, and dh and oldest son are out hunting for deer. Got lots to get done, it's fall. And totally enjoying my little boys..

Oh!! The baby is not apparently learning to walk.. he's learning to dance! He took his first step while standing up "dancing" with the older kids

Here's a little happy wedding juice for you. :) And many prayers for a smooth planning time.

Updates from me: I've spent the last week obsessing over sending our 7th grader to private school either next year or for high school. Have NO idea what would be best for her or even what school (there is only one semi-convenient option). And seriously, $17K tuition? Are clubs and friends really worth that?

No real other news here! My crazy kids who have to be prodded to go outside in the sunshine have been enjoying going outside to play in the rain every day this week.

Happy Wednesday to all of you!

Friends? Clubs? That wasn't my experience! Plus, who has time with all the schoolwork!

Busy, busy here. Main rooms are finally painted, but still in process of moving everything back...and trying to purge and organize in the process.

I've now become acting Coordinator for our local homeschool group. AND Secretary. Feeling a bit .

Preparing for my Living Advent Workshop....

Planning our Halloween and All Saints Costumes.

This is our second week of nature study which I'm doing with our local homeschool group. We have had two other families join us, and it's been SOOO delightful! It's laidback and more of CM approach that I've wanted, including time for watercolor in our journals. We had lots of rain Monday and Tuesday so it was great to walk around to see the changes from the rain, especially all the ditches and streams.

But the kids were a little spooked to hear that cottonmouths are around our nature path. So I'm looking up to see what caution to take.

We have had a very up and down week.

Last Wednesday, my dh came home with chest pains that sent us to the hospital. He was admitted over night and had a bunch of test that thankfully showed he has a perfect heart.

It seems it was caused either by a muscle spasm or anxiety and stress. All school and work was put on hold and we just sat around and read and relaxed and watched sports and movies and enjoyed each other for a few days.

Now we are back to the grind. Hubby is back at work and we are back to school. I'm having such a hard time waking up in the morning because I have such severe insomnia. When you are up from 2:30-4:30 and just get back to sleep by 5, rising and being cheerful at 6:30 is just NOT HAPPENING! I've never had a sleeping issue and even my beloved melatonin is not working.
My husband thinks that our family needs all the prayers it can get so God is allowing me extra prayer time.

Other than that, girls room is almost painted and now comes the decision to just grin and bare the rest of the house's lack of nice paint or dive in and start painting the kitchen. Please pray that we make the right decision.

Blessings to you all!

Feeling very overwhelmed and inadequate this week. Tough week with a big flare-up of my RA, so not much of anything is getting accomplished, but there is so much to do.

I also have very mixed emotions about a bad break-up my dd-24 had with her boyfriend. I am extremely proud, as the break up was due to the fact she wouldn't give in to the "worldly" vision of dating. (aka: premarital s*x)
But my mother's heart is hurting for her as her heart is breaking. While at the same time ds-23 is making bad choices in his life right now.

The worry is so physically exhausting, along with the RA, it's hard to feel like anything is being accomplished.....one minute at a time, I guess.

On a happy note, we will be attending a family wedding on Saturday with 7 of the kids. I love when big families are included at these special events. The little ones can't wait to dance the afternoon away with their cousins.

Oh, Joann, I'm going to be praying mightily for your daughter this week! I'm so sorry that she's feeling so sad. It is hard to do the right thing, that is for sure.

Mimi, I will pray for your husband, too. I'm so thankful that he is not facing scary health issues.

Our week has been stressful, too, with no good news on the job fronts (the reverse, in fact). Dancing Daughter has a job, though, which is very nice (and will save me money when she hits the mall with friends)! And I have promised myself to use that time - 3 hours a week or so - for walking. I so need to exercise, and I hope this will help. I have metatarsal pain issues, but today I tried "side lacing" - a different way of lacing my shoes - and it seems to have helped a bit.

Our dance studio has been a stress zone this week, mostly because there are several injured dancers (regionals are in two months) and because the extended classes/practices this year are eating into homework time for everyone. It's going to be an intense two months, and I am working very, very hard back here at home to maintain a peaceful - if untidy - oasis, with good, healthy food, lots of love and mutual support.

   ,

I spent most of this day thinking it was Tuesday. I was disappointed when I found out it was a day later.

I am busy nursing my dh as he had all of his teeth out today. We found out about God's protective presence today as the dentist's assistant told us that my dh had so much infection in his mouth that they were amazed that he was still alive. We are extremely thankful this evening.

I am also reminded that men make poor patients.

Oh, Julia, rest assured that your husband is in my prayers, and you are, too! I'm so thankful that he will be able to recover from the infection. I'm glad you're there for him, too...men are not easy patients, it's true, but they're grateful ones. Afterward.

Sounds like quite a few health issues - praying for everyone for recovery and healing. Also praying for job and relationship intentions.

Tonight I'm getting ready for our St. Francis feast day gathering tomorrow. Youngest son started confirmation classes tonight, too. Because I had some time to kill while he was in class, and it was close, I went down to the University of Denver - site of the presidential debate tonight and walked around the campus. Just wanted to check it out - high security and no access for the common folk, but interesting to be there just the same. It was a walk down memory lane as well. When we first moved to Denver my husband worked there and we lived a few blocks from campus so I have lots of memories of our early married days with babies and toddlers. It hit especially close to home this week since we had a real dose of "our children are growing up" this week.

When Angie shared her dd engagement shout out a few weeks ago, I posted in the thread that following that big announcement I had nothing significant to share in comparison...ironically, this week I share the same news - our oldest is engaged as of this weekend. Knew it was coming just not sure when. Would appreciate any prayers you could send their way - I have a lot of momma anxiety about faith issues for them.

Congrats to the engaged, prayers for all struggling.

We're kind of settling into the routine after extensive traveling in the last month. We spent a lot of time outside this week in anticipation of the cold front that moved in last night--so glad we did as cold and windy is not my favorite weather.

#3 is making leaps and bounds in reading, so that's exciting! My mom (moved into town this spring) seems to be adjusting well and has asked to have the older kids over for a science afternoon once a week. So I'll have one less subject to prepare, the kids get to spend extra time with their grandmother, and I get one-on-one time with the youngest. I think it will be a wonderful change!

Fighting some feelings of isolation and questioning what God wants of our family in a few areas, but thankful that we have some local support in this venture of homeschooling.

And those claps, confetti, and dances are just for the awesome dresses Mary and I are going to wear !!!

Congratulations and bring on the big chicken dance, bigger prayers, and biggest glass of champagne!

A very happy week for us--I had my baby on Saturday! Got home on Sunday, baptism yesterday, and now I'm spending the rest of the week resting and snuggling with this little sweetheart and enjoying my husband's time off--love babymoons!

Ohh- lots of weddings and babies! I love to hear this happy news.

I am praying for all those not feeling well.

And if you think you are not having a productive week, if you have said a prayer or two, cooked a meal or two, hugged a kid or two, and smiled at least once, you are wayyyyy ahead of a lot of people!!!
