Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a Yahoo ID because of the homeschooling loops that I joined a long time ago (came to this board from the CCM group!).

I am starting a new group for a different issue and I want to create a new ID, one that doesn't involve my homeschooling moniker or email address - I need to use my complete name, etc. Plus somehow years ago my dd thought she was in her Yahoo login (it was mine) and now my 'profile' name is her soccer nickname?!

Has anyone had 2 ID's with Yahoo?

You can create an alias. I have two - which I use in different Yahoo groups, depending on the nature of the group.

You could make your alias your full name.

You really can't have two IDs because that would have to be separate accounts and Yahoo won't let you with the same email address.

Apparantly you can't as it won't let you use spaces when making an alias. Just tried.

Hmmm, thanks Mary.

I have different email addresses - although right now the one I'm planning on using for the new group is the back-up for my homeschool email. Do you know if Yahoo will let me use it as a primary with a new ID? Or should I go to my present Yahoo account and delete it?

You can always try and it will accept you or reject you. Since that email would be associated with an account (even if only backup) it might not let you start a new account. Frankly, I find Yahoo really hard to work with once you already have an account and need to change something or forget a password, etc. I'm a moderator for several groups and people have lots of problems. So sometimes they do just start new accounts with different email addresses. In theory, I think you should be able to have multiple profiles/alias and multiple emails and pick and choose which are associated with any given group.

we have different accounts here.. but one is my dh and one is me.. I rather like their instant messenger.. we used different accounts.. I would take off the one email as a back up before using it as a main account I think.. just as a precaution.. but using your full name shouldn't be an issue.. there's tons of people with duplicate names
