Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I couldn't NOT figure out where to put this, so here I am!

We have checked out several books on free-building with Legos, and my sons have really enjoyed them.

I'm wondering if your children have any favorite titles they would recommend? A birthday is around the corner, and I think instead of "just Legos" that a book or two to build a few would be good.

The LEGO Ideas Book is one I'll be giving.

and maybe The Unofficial LEGO Builder's Guide. Any other favorites?

The Ultimate Lego Book by DK publishing has a lot of cool designs... really fun to browse through.

We waited ALL summer for that book from the library. Long waiting list. That's a good idea to add that one.

I think Amazon has used copies fairly cheap if you want your own copy.
I think I picked up ours for $2 at a library sale. Couldn't pass it up for that!

I've really been eyeing the Brick Bible series by Brendan Powell Smith. Typing one handed...wish I could link!
Does anyone here have them? If so, what do you think?

Oh, man. I'm realizing after reading some reviews about the books I mentioned above that you do need to be very careful with these. My apologies! They were not what I initially thought. His brick Bible "for kids" series is supposed to be more tame. . Anybody know?
