Long story, I won't bore with details, but I managed to fall backwards on a forklift at Lowe's today, with the cart and my son on top of me. I didn't land "hard" but have really bruised my tailbone area.

Any hints on how to mitigate the pain, function and help heal up? Arnica for bruising, right? Anything else? I'm taking Advil, which is taking the edge off the pain....

Thanks, Tammy. None of my medical books really have advice for sore backsides! I take the max dose Advil, 4 at a time.

Well, they sit on a pillow of air, and sit very carefully. My injury is fortunately right above the coccyx, so I can sit very carefully, just not lean back on anything. It's a very bad bruise, and I hope it's only that. I'd be very upset that I didn't take the proper steps when I was there in Lowe's if I start having doctors' bills. KWIM?
