Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What do you use on your face for sunscreen?

We've spent every day this past week out in the yard and my face is showing the effects ~ pink-pink cheeks (and nose and chin and forehead ).

I don't think my Oil of Olay is cutting it. I'd like something light and not greasy and easy on sensitive skin. My skin is *very* fair and my eyes are light, so the sun doesn't agree with me much. But with three boys who love the outdoors I won't be inside much this summer!

Can anyone recommend a good (facial) sunscreen?

I like Eucerin extra protection facial lotion, spf 30. It works well for me.

I like to use a stick on faces. I usually use Banana Boat. My kiddos tolerate the stick kind better than lotion on faces. Plus they like me to pretend to turn them into some kind of animal when I put it on them.

If you want a more adult sunscreen, Bath and Bodyworks has a new line, kinda pricey. You probably do need more than just Oil of Olay. I am trying to remember to wear a hat whenever I go out in the sun.

My sis, who is fair, freckled, and red haired, and extremely sensitive skinned likes the nutrogena sunscreen products. In my house, we use Aubrey Organics, available at most natural foods stores. Aubrey products are super-clean, and chemical free. They are not waterproof, however.

Shawna, I'm glad you mentioned Aubrey. I've wondered what their products are like.

I've always been a burner (rather than a tanner) but it seems my skin is even more sensitive to the sun as I get older. My eyes too.

I use No Ad bc its cheap and effective, but our skin isnt sensitive. We use a stick too, for faces when mommy remembers to buy it and then can find it in the car.

I need a recommendation for a product specifically for my lips. Anyone have any ideas?

I like Burt's Bees, but hmmmm ... I just looked at the tube and I don't see SPF listed on it.

Also, I am going back to the "frumpy" thread to see if there are any recommendations for makeup with SPF. Maybe a tinted moisturizer. I don't wear a base now, but maybe a light one would help protect my skin (and even out my skin a little to boot ).

I use Burt's Bees on my lips and today I found Lifeguard's Choice by the same company. I'll let you know how it works!

Now, these Badger Lip Balms don't appear to have SPF, but don't they sound delicious?! I use Badger Sleep Balm every night.
