DC just informed me that today is a momentous date ~ here in our time zone we are approaching a momentous time as well! 11:11am on 11/11/11!! Is this the only time it will occur this century?!?

Yes, it is really cool, isn't it? The time is just passing now in Eastern time zone - we have a few hours to go. Lots of 1s for sure!!!

Our youngest grandchild was born 1-1-11 and bil & new sil were married on 1-1-11 ~ lots of 1's to celebrate this year! I called dh at work just to say "I love you" right at 11:11 since we'll never have such an opportunity again in our lifetime! Dc have an alarm set for 11:11pm so they can celebrate the momentous time once more tonight (I didn't have the heart to tell them military time would make it inaccurate) ~ they enjoy the chance to celebrate such things as often as possible!

A dear friend's birthday is today, so we texted her at 11:11. We also had a lovely lunch together to celebrate. None of the food was 11-11 "themed" (If only I'd thought to buy FRIES!! I love fries!) but it was yummy and a wonderful celebration!
