Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Dress ups, all my dc love dress ups even the big ones.
K'nex is another forever gift. Scooters and blade boards are popular here at present.

Is Grandma after small tag gifts or big?

Blade boards are a good idea, but hate to buy those in Winter, as the white stuff keeps them from enjoying them,...maybe though. I have come to be okay with big ticket stuff that a few people go in on--less gifts but often better ones, you know? Thanks for the ideas.

my boys are boy/cub scouts so they're getting headlamps for camping not sure what else yet..

books and movies generally get a very good reception here..

I'm hearing rumblings about wanting a new game for the wii too.

My ds (8, soon to be nine) is getting a new sleeping bag; he loves to camp with the cub scouts and needs a new one.

Granny is buying him a new camera- he had a Vtech kid one for years and loved it, but now he wants a "big kid" one. My kids love to take pictures, and Amazon has a good selection in many price ranges.

He has requested the lego mini figure sticker book

I picked up The DK Ultimate Lego Book at our library book sale for $2. It is in great shape, and I have no problem wrapping up a "new to us" book and giving it to my kids as a gift.

As a joint gift from St. Nick, my dc are getting their own copy of
The Redwall Cookbook so we can finally stop borrowing the one from the library

I also picked up the Klutz Draw Funny Book, which will be a gift for ds from his sister (they each give each other one gift for birthdays and Christmas)

I just had to say I agree with the scooters! At least 2 of my girls will be getting those from us! Maybe I'm overly permissive, or maybe it's just that I have girls only ( ), but I don't mind them riding them in the house until Summer. Our snow stuck around until Memorial Day last year - such a bummer. As long as they don't take them outside, they can remain "indoor" toys here.
Along those same lines my kiddos LOVE their plasma car.

We recently gave up our TV too, and for the loooong winter months, I thought we'd give all of our girls games - but we don't have a large collection of games. There were so many unique games to be found in the Rainbow Resources holiday catalog that I hadn't seen. (My personal favorite from childhood was Mastermind!)

I have lots of girl ideas - but that's not helpful! I'm expecting my first boy child any day now, so I look forward to seeing the boy ideas and dream of my future!
