I fast on Tuesdays. I am sick with a head cold this week. I am not that sick, but definitely don't feel well. Is it advisable to fast when you are sick or should I just skip my fast this week? Thanks and God bless.

You shouldn't fast if you are ill, in my opinion. You can skip it and resume when you are healthy again...remember that the young, elderly, pregnant, nursing and ill are exempt from Lenten fasts...

Thanks, I am thinking of giving up TV instead of food today. That definitely is easier than fasting for me though....

When I am pregnant or sick, I usually just change my fast to just fasting from sweets. It's probably better for me anyway!
