Hello!
My name is Laura. We are proud parents of seven, but only homeschooling the three youngest. We have our 6 year old son, 4-1/2 year old daughter and a 2 year old daughter.
I recently met a wonderful woman at church who has become my mentor in homeschooling and has answered so many of my questions and is guiding me through differences in curriculum, etc...she also told me about this forum and I have learned a lot already from here too!
Thank you ladies! I look forward to getting to know you!

Thanks Ladies!
I am going to be using the Charlotte Mason method for my family. I am searching through books to find what would be best, but there are a lot of books!!!
If you have any suggestions, please send them my way.
With loads of appreciation,
MommyMahung

Have you checked out Mater Amabilis?
Is your son reading yet? Do you know what history areas you are covering? Do you have an idea of what areas you will be covering, so we can help round out a booklist?

Hi JennGM,
I have not checked out Mater Amabilis. My son is reading and I do not know what to cover in history. I'm not really sure where to start with history. Do I go all the way back to Adam and Eve and work my way up?

If you are planning a CM education for your children, one of my favorite sites is Simply Charlotte Mason. Check out her free curriculum. We decided to start history at home with Module 5 (which is 1550 to 1850, approximately).
You can start at the beginning and move forward from there, but I wasn't comfortable with starting there just because of my sore lack of education in World History.
