I have two family weddings this summer. Both couples are Christian but neither of them attend church regularly. I'm trying to think of something to give each couple that would be special and also encourage them to begin to think of love as more than just a "feeling". Neither couple had any sort of marriage preparation, which is unfortunate.

Any suggestions??

I always give a cross to a Christian couple (many styles now out there) or crucifix to a Catholic couple. Also try to write an encouraging word or two in the card without sounding too preachy:)

Maybe a beautiful, elegant photo frame with a simple Bible verse? That way, when they look at their wedding photo, they can see a reminder of the biblical meaning of marriage...

I decided to get both couples The Love Dare Day by Day: Wedding Edition. I hope it is a blessing for their marriages. I read the original Love Dare and I liked it very much even though it wasn't a Catholic resource.

Now I have to decide what to get another family member who recently got married. Neither of them practice any faith, and yet I'd like to find a way to encourage them on this journey they've just begun.
