Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Each year, the Easter season brings so much joy to my heart. This year, especially, I have many things to celebrate, some large and some small (but still important).

Please join me in celebrating the good things God has given to us...

I'll start.

1) My son got a score of 99 on his Western Civ term paper...that he wrote the day before it was due... (Okay, part of this I should not be celebrating, but...)

2) Through Facebook, I have reconnected with several family members, including my husband's aunt and cousin (both wonderful ladies!) and my uncle (he and my aunt divorced 28 years ago...but it's very clear that he still considers me to be his niece after all this time). What a blessing to be able to correspond with family all over the USA!

Edited to add:

Your turn!

This is wonderful idea.

God has shown me, through forums< FB and blogs some lovely ladies who I can share life with them.
I am Blessed to have a gorgeous supportive husband who loves me and shares my faith.
God has given me a new chance to have a better relationship with my Mum.
A big Blessing that God has given us(in 2009), is a this home we live in. He sold our last one quickly and moved us here in 16weeks- from woah to go.

Great thread, Nancy!

Well...Lily has her trach out!          Lots of celebrating over that one! She is getting ready to have one more surgery on May 19th....they’ll surgically close the little hole left in her neck from three years of having a trach! I keep telling her this is an easy surgery compared to where we were just one year ago this week......which leads me to the fact that we survived the last year and a half with six surgeries between four family members...including ME....and we are all doing well. Thanks be to God we made it through a very tough time!!

I also thank God for showing us a new team of doctors for both Lily and Pete-- we will now be seeing.....we really like them and are grateful for their input.

I thank God that my 12 yo ds who has horrible food allergies is now getting brave enough to eat new foods.....people...that is a BIG one!!! He has not had any food reactions for quite a while!!

Okay, this might sound extra ubber flakey.....but I am so thankful for my new haircut......it makes me feel so much younger and.....pretty. It’s so nice to walk out of the salon and think, “Wow, I really like how I look!”

Of course, I am so grateful for all of my friends here...I haven’t been posting a lot....sometimes life demands I step back and deal with several more plates spinning above my head....but I know I have several faithful friends here who inspire me to be my best, to give my best to God and my family......thanks, Friends!

1) Although it's been awful for my allergies, this has been one wonderful spring! So happy that the heat has held off most of the spring.

2) My son receives his first confession and First Holy Communion this week, and we are so happy!

3) I had a singular grace this Lent. I had a hurt relationship, something done to me over 7 years ago that while I forgave, it was still hard to forget. I had such a blessing this Lent that has lifted this off my chest and emotions -- I was able to talk and be friendly with these people without any problems. It was wonderful!

4) And in a similar vein, I had some re-connections with friends and family that were wonderful and needed.

What a nice thread Nancy!

1) A sister-in-law wants to begin RCIA, partly due to listening to Catholic radio during her work commute.

2) My 6th child made his first sacraments this spring!

3) Our oldest has finished his senior year with much academic success and is headed for Christendom college. (For two years he KNEW that was where he wanted to go.)

4) My older children had a wildly successful end of year concert and production of The Winters Tale. It makes the agony of rehearsals all year worth it.

- We found out that our fifth child (due later this summer) will be our fourth boy!

- We are humbled beyond belief in gratitude for the home we bought last summer that is a few doors down from our church and all the wonderful faith-filled bustle of activities that provides.

- I'm more at peace than ever with our homeschooling choices and lifestyle.

- We are healthy, have a stable income, and are working at our spiritual growth each day.

I love this thread! It's put a smile on my face already!

1. Daughter is graduating cum laude or maybe even magna cum laude in a few weeks. (this is from CC, she transfers to the univ in the fall to complete the bachelor's)

2. The kids have been really (mostly) kind to each other the past 2 weeks. Always a blessing!

3. In the past few months I've found and been found by so many pro-life people online and off. It's such a blessing when you don't feel like you're "the only one" fighting for this cause.

4. Our freshman has really taken charge of his schooling -- so far so good!

4. We've been married 21 years and 5 months last Sunday! We celebrate tonight :)

Such a beautiful thread, Nancy!

I love all those *thankful-fors* from everyone! Such blessings, each of them!

We have much to celebrate ourselves ::

1) Building our home ourselves has been a wonderful experience so far. My husband and I are working *together* beautifully and have not had any major disagreements with the house so far.

2) After my miscarriage in April, to be blessed with another pregnancy ... well, it took my breath away and brought me to my knees when I thought I'd never be pregnant again

3) My children have thrived this year amid the hussle and bussle of building our house - I pray and continue to pray for all graces received.

4) I have wonderful friends, wonderful family, and love to share in that here, on FB, and other forums that have only enriched my life in faith and homeschool
