Blessed New Year!
Do you make New Year's resolutions? How many? Do you keep it/them? What has been your most successful resolution?
Vote, one vote at a time, as often as is fitting. Thanks for participating!
Love,

I voted more than once. My main focus is prayer, but I'm hoping that through prayer I can conquer some other areas as well.
I like to set goals for the year! I think it's fun. I revisited my goals from past few years (on my blog) and I usually have the same ones each year, but life tends to get in the way and my direction changes sometimes. Maybe this year I will be able to keep a few of them.

I don't really make resolutions. I do reflect on the year and what was good and not, but I wouldn't then put that into a statement of change starting on x date.
I reflect a lot (my dh would probably say too much ) throughout the year and make changes as I see fit in baby steps.
I've learned that, for me, most lasting changes come in those baby steps, and I'm not good at changing big things all at once or all of a sudden. I would probably just be setting myself up for failure.
God Bless,
Anita

My goal was to spend one hour alone with our Lord each day - which means early mornings in this house.
It's happened only 3x now
But it's my goal for everyday.
I've noticed that it helps to get to bed early the night before

I do make goals for my year because it helps me focus and actually accomplish things.
A big focus for me this year is prayer and gratitude. I'm working very hard to be open to change this year and prayer is the key.
My "other" goal involves knitting, so somewhat silly, but something that helps me relax at the end of long days.

Well I had to be difficult.. I said I don't make resolutions.. but I also marked that I am hoping to work on personal fitness (health) and prayer this year.. but I guess I don't like calling them a resolution for the year because
1) I procrastinate so I wouldn't need to do anything until the year was almost up.. yes?
and
2) I don't want these things to end with the year.. I just want to attempt to start a good habit.. I don't want a end date.. and yes the way my brain works it would feel like an end date even if not meant that way.

I chose "other" because it was easier than clicking all of them!
Each year our family sits down on New Year's Day and chooses 2 annual goals for each of our 7 priorities. We print, sign, and place the doc. in a frame that we hang in our living space. We store older docs in the same frame.
These are more long-term and nothing drastic, like "I'm waking up tomorrow and changing everything right now!" For example, for personal care we have "Run Turkey Trot." For this one we'll start preparing later in the year more formally.
Sooooooooooo, I don't know if these count as "resolutions" but goals that help to guide us for the year.
