Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I want to get one game for my family for Christmas...something that makes them think, but not burst a brain cell or something... nothing junky.
We are starting to accumulate some nice ones but have no idea what else they might really enjoy...any ideas? I am thinking mostly for ages 10 and up to play with Daddy.

Help! I just realized Christmas will happen whether or not I am ready for it....

TIA!

Have you tried any of the "Pictionary" type games? where you draw clues for the others to figure out what it is.. it makes you think and be creative but not really knowledge based either like trivia games.

We've really enjoyed Qwirkle, Walk the Dogs, Quartile, Plext, In a Pickle and Settlers of Catan.

I was going to say Qwirkle too. It's one of the only games that I actually enjoy playing!

Cranium is fun for all ages with the teams even the little ones get to play. ALso we play pictionary using a dry erase board with one drawing and everyone else guessing we usually play teams also with parents or grown-ups against kids. We play a lot of games in "teams"   If playing Trivial pursuit make sure grandma is on your team Annie

Quiddler is a fun word making card game -- can be short or long because you can quit after any round.
