I just got a copy of Alice Cantrell's new book, Tin Cups & Tinder: A Catholic boy's little book of fire, food & fun!

It's absolutely wonderful! It is just the perfect boys' book, covering fire, sewing, cooking, naturalist items. I reviewed the book on my blog:

This will make a great Christmas gift for all boys! I can't wait to do all the projects!

It is fabulous ... talk about the good the true and the beautiful! Definitely needs to be on Christmas lists this year! Here's my take on it ... and it would be just grand for the more tom-boy type girls in the family, too ... I would have LOVED this when I was younger ....

Thanks for posting this Jenn. I ordered our copy over the weekend.

We own her other two titles. My dds loved Tea and Cake with the saints; it was the basis for our liturgical teas last year .

With four little boys I can't wait to get this one and use it. I'll post again when we get it.

It's adorable!!!! I'm thinking this will be nice to use in the spring time. Lots of great ideas for little projects right before camping/fishing/nature trails season really kicks off. I love the cooking section. Really a nice book
