Hi Moms~
I have been given many old old books...you know the kinds with the linen/hardcover binding. Books that my grandmother probably read as a child--that type.
I will keep some--kind of like "Dick and Jane" books, but older--for my daughter as easy primers...but the rest should have a home.
I would love to sell these on half.com or such, but these books are so old that they don't have ISBN numbers in them! What should I do? I don't want to donate them for fear of them just being thrown away...
Any ideas?
Some are marvelously Catholic, too...but I think my husband has said "enough" with the books.
Thoughts?

Post those titles here on the message board in the Trading Post for starters - lots of members love old Catholic books. They may be treasures Jenn or I are looking for and I'll have to fight her for them.
But seriously - if you could get some help from someone who knows old books - you might have something of worth, so you would have an idea of what to sell for. Or search used book sites for the titles and see what they are going for.
You've got my curiosity up...

I'm curious, sounds exciting. Oh be sure to include the publisher when listing, it helps.

I looked up a few titles on alibris books in the rare section. Incidentally, I couldn't find my titles on Abe Books or another website but found them when I searched in "rare".
I'll have to speak with my husband about things first, but it is nice to know that there are good Catholic homes that the books could go to if we decide to sell them.
Thank you for your input!!

Wow. I had no idea so many would be interested.
Dh and I need to do a bit more research...and then we'll go from there. However, given that I have surgery scheduled for next Tuesday, it may take a few weeks/month before I post anything. It will be a good thing to do on bedrest.
Thank you all!
God Bless,
Maggie
