Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

One of the greatest gifts of this community is the generosity of prayer offered on behalf of one another. The gift of being able to rejoice together in joys, and pray and sacrifice together in suffering is a blessing and a mercy. Many of you are aware that one of our members, LeeAnn Balbirona, experienced the tragic loss of her husband David on August 19. His funeral is this Friday, August 27, at 2:00 pm Eastern time. The 4Real Message Board will close for 1 hour for David's funeral, beginning at 2:00 Eastern. As we come together in prayer as the Mystical Body of Christ, join us for an hour of silence prayerfully holding LeeAnn, Fiona, Helena, Ellie, and son Ewan, and David's family and friends close as well as pray for the repose of David's soul.

The prayer forum will remain open during this hour of closure.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy.

Quote:
Merciful Father and God of all consolation, we come to You now on behalf of LeeAnn's deceased husband, David. Sometimes it is very hard to understand Your ways and to accept your Will; still, we trust in You. Today, we humbly beg you to bring David's soul into your eternal kingdom; he is your child; have mercy on him.   We place all our trust and hope in your son, Jesus, and in his promise of eternal life. Lord Jesus, bring LeeAnn's husband into Your presence in the company of the saints. Mercifully grant him Your rest and joy in light of his faithfulness to You and to his vocation. Through the intercession of Mary, may LeeAnn, Fiona, Helena, Ellie and Ewan one day join him in the complete bliss of the Beatific Vision. O Mary, look upon this dedicated and faithful husband and father with pity and please bring him to Paradise, his true country.

Our Lady of Sorrows, stay close to LeeAnn, the girls and Ewan, comforting them as only You can. Help LeeAnn to remain under your mantle, Blessed Mother, as she comforts her children during this immense time of grief.
