We need Charles Schulz!
I'm old enough to remember all those Peanuts comic strips and books...and the famous saying, "Happiness is a warm puppy." The books were very popular, and I recall mini-posters with the "Happiness Is..." sayings on them, too.
Maybe we need to take time to reflect on those small, everyday things that make us happy.
I'll start!
Happiness is...catching fireflies and setting them free.

I have several photo album pages of those "Happiness is...." newspaper clippings from before hubby and I were married! They still are printed in my mom's newspaper which is where I clipped all mine 18+ years ago. I'll have to dig out my scrapbook and find some.

Here are a few that come to mind (although not "Charles Shultz Originals"):
Happiness is snuggling with a toddler while drinking your morning coffee!
Happiness is knowing that there is a little life growing inside of you, even when you're a 46 year old Mommy!
Happiness is a day at the beach with your family
Happiness is watching a library rented DVD of the old "Sabrina" with your husband after the kids are in bed!
Oops, just noticed you said "everyday things". My last two aren't every day, but it might be nice if they were!

Happiness is...a big brown truck pulling into the drive and children running to greet it.
Happiness is...waking up to already-brewed coffee thanks to a hubby who makes it before he leaves for work.
Happiness is...a pink lawn chair and a good book.
Happiness is... the sun peeking out through the clouds.
Happiness is...grandchildren.

Happiness is....being 6 years old and learning to ride a two-wheeler!
Happiness is...being the mom of a 6yods who has just learned to ride a two-wheeler and spending the day watching him ride between driveways with the hugest smile on his face.

Happiness is.... that peaceful hush in the house when all the children are asleep.
Happiness is.... rubbing noses with your daughter because it makes her so happy and then laughing with her.

Happiness is...discovering that your husband has gassed up your car (and had it washed) for your dance carpool the next day...after he spent all morning changing the oil.

Happiness is .... the very, very subtle way that your 3 year old uses the sounds of the letter R and the letter Y interchangably 
Happiness is .... watching your 5 year old feel the incredible sensation of riding her bike without training wheels, and knowing that she DID IT! all on her own.
Happiness is .... having my dog lick my face in the morning, just to wake me up and say "hello", only to scamper off and go back to bed himself, leaving me wide awake .
Happiness is .... having a husband who adores his family and supports us, in every way imaginable.
Happiness is .... waking up each morning and giving Thanks to our Heavenly Father for all that we have.
