Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Summer is our movie theater season because a theater near us (20 miles ) offers free weekly movies.

Next week one of the choices are Where the Wild Things Are---I heard this is scary. (I don't remember where I heard this) My ds-5 isn't very brave so I don't want to scare him, especially in a dark theater.

Can anyone offer me some advice about this one?

Thanks

Joann,
My dd, 12, saw this with some friends at the dollar movie this past fall. She said it was way too dark and scary for her 10 year old brother who was hoping he might get to go see it later on. I haven't seen it, but she said it was very creepy. I'd wait.

My dd11 and ds8 saw it when it came out ~ last summer? They hated it. Said it was nothing like the book and was very scary.

We were so sad to her that we could not take our kids to watch this when my sister went to see it and said it was in her words "Way too scary for my nieces and nephews"

Sorry, they are showing it here too and we won't be seeing it either
