It's silly actually, how this has now manifested itself into a ritual of sorts. Here's my secret:
I keep some gourmet, heavenly, absolutely divine chocolate in my bread box on the kitchen counter. It's no secret that it's there...everyone knows it's there; the girls have nearly forgotten about it (they rarely get to indulge, and I save if for very special treats for them), and my husband isn't reminded of it (um, sort of intentionally). But *I* know it's there...everyday.
After dinner it's the same, every night. We finish eating. My husband cleans up the girls and takes them all outside to play while I spend my time cleaning up the kitchen and doing the dishes. Listening to my favorite music, I grab a big chunk of my melt-in-you-mouth chocolate. Doing the dishes. Watching my family play from the kitchen windows. Listening to music that fills my soul. And eating my chocolate.
There. Now you know. My secret is out.
It's a beautiful thing

Sounds delightful, Chris--and makes doing the dishes a whole lot more fun! (I admit I sneak a piece of fudge from my freezer stash during dishes in the evening myself!  )
