Hi Moms~
Please tell me what your most favorite music cds/songs are--they ones you can really rely on to inspire, soothe, and uplift your soul!
For me...
I am a HUGE Matt Maher fan. Beautiful music. Beautiful lyrics.
I need to expand my music collectionand would love your ideas!

My favorite Catholic musician is Michael John Poirier. I purchased his "Ocean of Mercy" album through itunes after hearing some of his music at our bible study group. His music is beautiful!!
My favorite non-Catholic musician is Michael W. Smith. A few of my favorite reflective songs by him are: "Draw Me Close to You", "Heart of Worship", "Give It Away", and "Breathe". A couple of snappy ones that I like are: "Open the Eyes of My Heart" and "A New Hallelujah".

We are huge fans of L'Angelus - the three main artists are in their 20's - Catholic, homeschooling, retired military family. Their mom (Linda) taught them to sing/play and they are just amazing. Their live performances celebrate their Cajun heritage. They've cut a sacred music CD and a Christmas CD that are completely lovely.

The Trapp Family Singers are my absolute favorite inspirational music, I think I own all of their CDs, but my favorite in One Voice, found on Amazon, as it has versions of favorite songs I hadn't heard before. It also has Christmas/Easter songs in addition to their folk songs from around the world.
There is just something beautiful about this family singing together that I can't explain. The mystery of life, especially family life, is expressed to me through their original music.

Funny, Maggie, I saw the post title and thought I'd jump in to say Matt Maher and Marie Bellet not really thinking that's what you had in mind. :) :) :)
Love them both. Too tired to think of anyone else, but I will check our collection tomorrow.

Just received "The Priests", as an early Mother's Day gift....their music is perfect inspiration while working in the garden.
