Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am not a scrap booker, but I have been asked to make one. My pastor called and asked me to compile one of notes and pictures and such for our Altar Server coordinator for her 10th anniversary in the parish. We are having a special Holy Hour on April 18th and he wants to present it to her then.

I have already called several families with severs, current and now college age to have them write notes to her.

St John Berchmans is the patron of Altar Servers and she exemplifies many of his traits. So I was going to use that somehow.

Any other ideas? How would be best to organize it? To display the notes? This just isn't my thing.

Not a scrapbooker, either, but the few times I have looked at scrapbooking materials in Michael's, JoAnn's, or WalMart, I have found them pretty inspiring. There is just so much out there that I never would have thought of! Maybe a leisurely stroll in a store like that could start some creative juices flowing.

Peace,
Nancy

You may also find help in a smaller dedicated scrapbooking store.. also searching online could give you ideas of how to incorporate the different items.

You might ask for help too.. someone who knows how to scrapbook could probably help you organize your pages fairly quickly.. with ideas on how to decorate.. not so much holding your hand through the process.. but helping you decide what goes on each page and how to set it up.. and then you can do it.

Thanks! I just called a friend that is an avid scrapbooker and she is going to make me some template pages and mail them to me.

I found some beautiful fabric in my stash that I am going to cover the book with, so that is one step done.
