I was looking for Easter baskets.. I have to admit I'm not fond of the cheapie ones at the store that are broken before the end of the day.. and I thought if I could just get some decent baskets.. I would be able to put them away and use year to year.

And so I was doing a websearch on baskets and found this site..Lucky Clover Trading It's a $50 minimum but you can get baskets for really reasonable prices. And quite a selection too.

Has anyone used them? If I decide to use them I'll be sure and post an update when I get them.

Jodie, I know what you mean about the baskets deteriorating by the end of the day. For the past couple of years, I've been putting the Easter supplies in   sand pails or metal pails from the craft or dollar store. They don't last more than a few months but the kids are able to use them.

Yes Helen, I've done lots of things.. cheap straw garden hats (the kids love those too), cowboy hats, buckets... last year I used gift bags..

But I just had this thought about how much easier it is at Christmas when I'm not searching for something to hold their stuff as well as the stuff.

SO I thought maybe a better basket.. and they have ones with handles that fold down.. that I could store from year to year..

Since I have four girls under the age of 8 and they all want purses, I think I'm going to pick up some pocket books for them this year.

And as much as I like the basket idea.. I think this year I'll go with the gift bags again. Giving me more time to decide on baskets.. I was so overwhelmed with all the shopping that while I looked a couple of times I simply could not decide on baskets.

Jodie, in their FAQs, it says that you can do less than the minimum, just multiply by 1.5 to get "retail price" which is still really good! But the pots and things they have are really looking great to this "finally no snow on the ground" gal!

Thanks Mary, I hadn't found that. Good to know!

But it's really the whole deciding thing that left me Trying to find the strongest basket with a folding handle that isn't too big.. I just couldn't do it. I've been swamped with picking and choosing school books and colors of jumpropes and figuring out the camera to buy for my 13 yr old's birthday and what to plant in my garden and I'm on the verge of doing the spring clothing switch.

And I still have a bulk order for food to get together including other people.

It was really the *deciding* that was crippling me.. and with it needing to be done SOON.. I just couldn't do it.
