Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I need some help -
I am helping plan a funeral and don't know where to order memorial cards from. Does anyone have a source that could do them over the weekend?

Or know of someplace in DFW(Tx) I could have them done?

Thanks so much.......

The funeral is Monday evening, hence the rush.

Years ago, I picked up blanks from the Catholic bookstore and taken them to a print shop that I found in the phone book. Have you tried calling the Cath bookshop or the funeral coordinator at your parish? Or a funeral home? I hope you find help.

When my dad died they had samples at the funeral home. We just ordered them when we were there making arrangements and they had them there for the wake. I would check there first. I am sure they would have contacts for that sort of thing and get them finished in a timely manner.

I don't think you will find personalized ones available online that quickly. When my sister-in-law died I was able to get bulletin stock quickly from Catholic Supply of Saint Louis, but we didn't have anything personalized. (Her funeral was pretty much a do-it-yourself, for a whole host of complicated reasons.)

We ended up ordering St. Michael holy cards (her favorite saint) from another supplier - but we had a lot more lead time than you do.

I hope someone has a suggestion that will help you (besides getting generic ones and using calligraphy - not easy or quick). I know you are not the only person ever to face this situation.

Sending up a prayer for you...

No, I have not checked with the funeral home.
Will take care of that tomorrow.

The funeral is actually for a family friend - my Elizabeth's godmother's aunt (we've been friends forever and our families are very close, my FIL is doing the memorial service) I am just trying to help her in Texas from FL She is totally overwhelmed, her aunt died from cancer - her family dumped it all on her - it's complicated...

Thank you for the replies....

BTDT. I wish I knew a quick way to create personalized holy cards. You're a thoughtful friend to help from so far away...

Trish, I've dealt with this many times...can you call the funeral home for your friend....they should have a selection of memorial cards and holy cards to choose from and most do the printing, at least that has been our experience. Praying for everyone involved.
