Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

There is a possibility that dh might be offered a job in New Britain, CT in the not-to-distant future. I'm trying to gather all my info so we can discuss it intelligently!

Is CT homeschooling friendly? Any great parishes in the greater Hartford area? Nice safe towns? Catholic homeschooling groups? Non-school sports programs? Are people going to continue to gawk and make snide comments at my 5 kids like they do here?

I'd love to hear anything and everything! I grew up in NJ so I think I get the Tri-State area culture, but I know very little about CT really.

THANKS!

Hi, Amy...I don't have a lot of time right now, but I will write more later. I've been in CT for almost 5 years, and we've been quite happy. I'll be back with a more detailed response!

Hi Amy
Ct is very easy, legally, to homeschool in.

The Franciscans of the Immaculate are in the New Britain area (Griswold) and host a monthly First Friday homeschool day.
