Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have been searching through the various makeup threads and haven't found anything to exactly match my question, so here goes...

I have a lot of acne scarring, plus now those brown age/pregnancy spots, diminshed breakouts (I mean, from when I was younger, but my skin does still break out), and dry patches. I need a makeup with heavier coverage, but I'd really rather use a less toxic makeup. I tried Dermablend which covers very well (although it's not magic), but it's *so* heavy and thick and I couldn't get the setting powder right so it would rub off my face onto my clothes, kids, etc. I am not really a makeup-y, girly type person, and it felt a little funny putting on what felt like "that much makeup" every day.

I recently tried the raw minerals type makeup from Loreal that's available everywhere, and that pretty much does nothing and wears off my face in a very short period of time.

While I did find some information about covering red patches, brown spots, etc., I didn't really find very much about a good, less toxic option to cover scarring.

Does anybody have any recommendations?
