Anyone have these? Like them? Hate them?
I'm thinking about them for Christmas and I've never laid hands on them so I'm not sure. If you like them, which set do you recommend?

I JUST did a ridiculous amount of reading on these, Theresa, and ended up ordering them last night for Christmas for the kids!!!! Shhhh!!!!
So, I can't help you out with a glowing review, but their potential sure looked great! I got the 250 piece set with a couple of ZoobDudes.
If you haven't yet checked out the Zoob website it's fun to poke around.
From their website:
Quote:
ZOOB’s shape is inspired by the nucleotides (the basic structural units of nucleic acids) that make up DNA. Based on the way things connect, move and transform in nature, ZOOB captures dynamic movement, unlike traditional “stacking” or “hub & spoke” construction sets. |

I loved this concept, and in particular the applications this "toy" might have in our fun science pursuits...so... ...I only hope I don't regret not purchasing the 500 piece set! If I do, there's always Epiphany, right?!

Ha! I've been looking at them on and off for awhile. I was thinking of the 250 piece set plus this:
Zoob creators kit

I spent a long time looking at them recently for ds's birthday.
I believe I was looking at them at Rainbow Resources.
I held off... dh got a panicked look in his eye and said: not another building set
But you can't have too many of those, right?

LOL! I am actually thinking of both the Zoobs AND the Wedgits this year. LOL! Though we have TONS of other building sets, we don't do Legos or K'Nex any more, so I am trying to add a little variety to our building materials smorgasbord.

Bumping this because I'm thinking of getting these for my 5 and 7 yr old boys for Christmas. I saw Amazon has the 500 piece zoobs set for $60 now instead of $90 and am wondering if these were toys your kids kept playing with. And if they were worth the investment!
do you think the 500 piece set is worth $20 more than the 250 piece set?
thanks!

I don't have these, but I do have boys your age and many other building set. I think that it's important to have enough for both to play with at the same time. It seems that if there is not enough for both it will not get played with because fighting breaks out more than happy playing. For $20 I would go with the bigger set personally.

They are so worth it. Go for it. My 6 yo plays with his all.the.time. He just has the vehicle set. And we have lots of other building type stuff.
The bigger set would definitely be worth it to me.

My boys love their Zoobs set. We rotate toys off and on the shelves, and this past weekend the Zoobs made a return out and the boys instantly started building cool looking things again!
That price looks great for the 500 piece set, and at that Amazon special price and with 2 boys I'd go for it!
