Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My sons just received a whole series of these cds as gifts - we have been listening and they are good. They are produced by Vision Forum which is very reformationist and it is very Creationist - but I have not found anything anti-Catholic - and it is actually very informative and enjoyable. Doeas anyone have any views or caveats about them?

I just happened to get their catalog in the mail; I had bought a couple DVDs a few years ago and got on their mailing list. I was wondering how these particular CDs are; they sound like something my 9.5 yo ds would love to listen to (he doesn't read on grade level so we do get a lot of books on CD to supplement his reading)

I was wondering if the Creationist-young earth view would be objectionable or not.

Karen - all my children (from 5 to 13)really love the cds - they keep us really entertained in the car - I really like them to. Their is a strong Creationist view but I do not really find it objectionable. With my oldest dd we are having some very interesting discussions on creation/evolution etc. They also have some really good scientific facts in them.

I have not been on the Jonathon Park website - but maybe you can get more information from there

Thanks, Marilyn, I don't mind some Creationist stuff in things at all; I just don't want it to be hitting you over the head constantly

Do they need to be listened to in order? I was thinking of getting at least the first set for Christmas, but might go ahead and pick up at least one more at the same time.

Karen - we had listened to the first one years ago on cassette. The gift my boys just got were the Beowulf one and the Explorers one - I think #4 and 5. My kids think you should do them in order - we are missing a little piece of information that must be in 2 or 3.

A little heads up Karen - after listening to Jonathon Park, communicator watches are THE wished for Christmas gift in our homes - plus those books from Vision (also amazon) about how to turn ordinary household items into high tech devices!!!

Does anyone have any opinions on the Jonathon Park at the Zoo or at the Aquarium sets?

What is the book title you are talking about? It sounds interesting for my son?

Thanks!
Christine
