and I meant to post sooner, but there's this precious little baby that I just can't seem to put down... 
Maggie came home on Nov. 23, 9 days before her due date and 90 days after the day she was born. She had weaned off her oxygen, monitors, and all meds but one (and she was able to stop that one last week). She was 5 lbs., 8 oz. the day she came home, and she weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz. on Dec. 29, so I'm guessing she's close to 9 lbs. by now. She was evaluated by a physical therapist this a.m. (standard for babies as premature as she was) who said that developmentally, she's on track and even ahead in some areas for her gestational age. Even her vision and hearing are fine.
It will be years before we know what lasting effects her prematurity *may* have, but we do know now that we have been incredibly blessed. Because, as her brother Ben says, we have "the most beautifulest baby in the whole world." 
Thank you for all the prayers. They worked a miracle.

Wendy, I'm so glad to hear that your little Maggie is home and doing well. I don't know how I missed the announcement when she was born, but be assured of continued prayers for her. I have my own little Margaret Mary (who's 4 1/2) and I will have her pray for your little one as well!
