I'm hosting the first one, focusing on "Your Beginning School Year Traditions".
I'd like to receive all the submissions by Sunday, September 20. Then I can get the fair up on my blog Monday the 21st or Tuesday the 22nd at the latest.
You don't have to have a blog to do this - you can email your entry. Just PM me and I'll send you my email.
Remember....Your Beginning School Year Traditions...no matter when you start....
ETA: Did we choose a button? And where did they go...?

Hi Paula, this widget:
is a clear winner!
Now, it should be able to be made into a html code..I've sort of forgotten how to do that, if anyone has experience with this, pm me and I'll send you the image in higher resolution.

Thanks Annie!
I just used my copy and paste function and added it to my sidebar as a picture.

I hope you get some entries for this one Paula.. I don't have anything that really suits.. more like I'm just fumbling my way along trying to finish up summer.. our county fair happens right about the start of school and I have to start ducking from all the balls I have in the air that aren't being juggled well

Anyone? Anyone?
I hope lots of people participate, we school year round and I don't have any beginning of the year traditions, but I always look wistfully at those that do and think -- maybe one day...

I begin the year with the Novena to the Holy Spirit, which is my only "tradition"! Before we begin, we take a trip to Staples for new notebooks and coloring pencils. Since we usually begin the year sort of gradually (starting with two subjects, such as math and reading, and slowly adding in others), we don't have a single "kick-off" day, so I am like Chari, meandering through the summer doing some things, and then just kind of gradually ramping up the program in the fall. My kids want us to have something cool to do, though! They want to go to the park on the first day of school!

i am wondering if everyone is just overwhelmed/busy/etc.
:(
if you don't get enough entries - what should we do? would you want to do a different one later in the year?

Paula,
Have you received any entries yet? If you are still hosting this fair I will try to write a post and send it to you tomorrow.

What was the final verdict? I couldn't get anything together in time.
