We are relocating very soon to the Stafford, VA area. I am just beginning this journey with my 5 year old. Would the locals please recommend some homeschooling groups for me to connect with. I really need the support as I am somewhat of a reluctant homeschooler (feeling overwhelmed by the 3 and 1 year olds). I love to travel and go on field trips. Obviously, a Catholic co-op would be great! But if there is an active secular group, I would welcome those suggestions too. Feel free to PM if you don't want to clutter the board with this. Thanks in advance!

Where exactly in the "Stafford" area ... more on the north side (toward Quantico) or more southerly toward F'burg ... I ask as I know of a group that is based in Dumfries and one (the one we've just joined) that is more for F'burg ...
pm me if you'd like (just hit the "PM" button in your message) and put in the "to" spot ... "Mary G" ...

Molly, we're 15 miles west of F'burg, so we joined "Holy Innocents" ... turns out that many of the families in that group are the same as my bro/sil knew 20 years ago when they lived down in F'burg ... fewer kids than now, but same families! How cool is that? We go to St. Pats ....

Welcome to VA! There are many groups in that area depending on what you are looking for. I suspect Mary and I are thinking of the same group in the Dumfries area but feel free to PM me and I'll give you a couple of suggestions.

And we miss you, Amy! We especially miss you now that you have a new, pink, bundle of joy that we are missing out on! That just isn't fair!
