Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This dynamic young group began as a Cajun band, but has also released CDs of Christmas and sacred music. They're devoutly Catholic and come from a retired military, homeschooling family.

They are performing at the parish festival at Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie, MD on Sept. 7. We saw them there last year - wow! (And they are so, so nice!)

Just in case you live in the MD-DC-NOVA area...

The Rees (the family that is L'Angelus) are friends of ours...they are so talented, so fun, and a joy to watch perform. If any of you in that direction can get to see them, you won't regret it.
And they are a beautiful witness to our Catholic faith and living a life of total trust in God.
And while you're thinking of them today--they have twins named Max and Kolbe--a little feast day prayer would be nice!

We have been playing the new Sacred Hymns Collection relentlessly around here...it's so sweet to hear my kids humming the tune to Tantum Ergo .
