Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

is featured today on the very popular children's design blog ohdeedoh--both a slideshow and a nice little write-up.

(Wasn't sure where to post this, so feel free to move if necessary!)

That is very cool! thanks for bringing it to our attention, Celeste. So glad to see you get much deserved recognition, Jen.

BTW, do you really teach "four (four!!!) children"? That's so many....

I got my dh to put up shelves like hers on one wall. and I'm in progress on doing the map thing. awesome simple solution! And I want, want, WANT that calendar thingy she has. Anyone have details on how to make that? details the craft challenged can manage?

And the dessert dishes! who woulda thunk that one?! it's perfect!

Congratulations, Jen!

This is so funny to me, because I was re-reading this particular entry (well, and the baskets one, too ) because its time for me to get my learning spaces in order. I was combing the pictures for ideas, which sent me looking for baskets, which led to an impromptu trip to Michaels when I found out all baskets are 40% off right now...

I don't have a whole room, like Jen, but I am scooping every idea I can, including getting dh to hang hooks for me so I can hang my maps! I love that idea so much more than mine, which is to pull the worn out maps from the back of the piano a million times, or stick it in the hallway where it inevitably falls off every month or so.

I'm pulling out my collection of mason jars later this week.

Thanks, Jen. You really are an inspiration.

Jen, I'm drooling at your inviting and organized space and wishing I could kidnap you for a week or two to do the same at my house! But of course, I can't do that because you've got to be home for your four (four???!!!). You are blessed to have such a gift of organization. Thanks for sharing it.

You're all so kind, and I'm so happy if you can find ideas to gather from there that might translate into your own spaces in some way! I do love gleaning ideas from all of you as I peek in to your spaces!

Angela (Angel) asked me about that as well...I have a post in draft on how to make it, Martha. I'll try to get it up on the blog this week.

It really is quite simple to make. Straight line sewing and lots of printing. A young lady from our homeschool group made it for us one year as a way to earn money. If you aren't a seamstress (though it really would be a very simple and easy project) you might consider offering the project to one of the teen girls in your local group. They are usually looking for ways to earn money and sharpen their sewing skills.

So glad you all enjoy the post!

Jen, I haven't had a chance to say it yet, but your blog post inspired us to change our rooms around! We've been trying hard to "fit" homeschooling into an itty-bitty room for the past 3 years, and it wasn't working! The past two weeks we've been moving stuff around and though our homeschooling room isn't quite as lovely or organized (yet, I'm hoping ) as yours, it's coming around nicely. Thank you so much for the inspiration, and for sharing so much with us!
