Can anyone help me with a Blog Make-over? Besides the pictures of my exceptionally cute kids  , my blog is just rather "blah". I have very little techno skill so I don't know how to do alot of the neat things I see on other people's blogs. For example, how to you put music on your blog?
How to you make the little icon links to books in your book-baskets?
It seems like I have lots of space on the sides of my blog that I can't do anything with.
Help?
If you have absolutely nothing else to do today  or you just like doing "blog make-overs" for people , would you mind looking at my blog and tell me what you would do to jazz it up a little?

Hi Becky!
I know nothing about blogger (I use typepad and have a hard enough time with that--thankfully, I have a friend who helps me occasionally when I am tech-challenged!).
I will say one thing--I think your blog is very nice--not boring and btw--your kids are gorgeous!

I don't think it's 'blah' at all. It's rather nice to not have all the distractions along the sides, really.

also....keep in mind...a lot of people read blogs thru a blog reader - so they only see the posts, and not all the little extras like music or widgets or whatnot.
(and sometimes those music players *really* slow down the loading of the page - (or will startle someone  who is listening to their music on itunes and suddenly there is more music playing too and you can't figure out where it is coming from or how to make it stop! okay - so maybe i am not a fan of music on websites/blogs. )

I just clicked through to your blog and noticed we have the same number of kids! And do you have just one girl also?
I too like a simple blog. I'm not too creative so mine is very well, dull. Sorry, I can't be more help but wanted to say hi!

Yes Monique, I have 5 kids and just one girl, who thinks she suffers so  ! I'll have to tell my dd she is not alone  !
Thanks for the point about the blog reader Cactus. I didn't really think about that (even though that's how I read most of the blogs I visit!)

One more opinion in favor of your blog in it's current state.  My 10 year old and I just checked out your blog. He really liked the fish feature and the green color.
I enjoyed seeing lots of great pictures. Lovely!
