Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in...I'm still figuring out what belongs where

What do you ladies have planned for Father's Day? There's no baby yet, but he's on the way and I want to make the day special somehow. DH IS a father just because baby isn't here yet doesn't mean he isn't!

So I was wondering if any of you had anything you'd like to share about how you have your children make the day special. (I know father's should be honored every day but to celebrate the day that is set "aside" too!)

At this point we have a special dinner planned, one of dh's favorites. The kids want to get him a little something but I'm not sure just what yet.

We will have a nice dinner as well and we are offering a mass for dh. It's cheap but it's the best gift we could think of to make a Hallmark holiday into a true Holy Day to honor him.

Hope this helps!

I never thought of offering a Mass for him! That is perfect! I know I won't be able to get one for this Sunday but I could stop by the parish and schedule one and put it in a card for him as his "present"! Thank you so much for the idea!
